Barley Flakes
Our
Organic Barley Flakes are specially grown for this breakfast cereal with the
greatest care on our farm, because we believe good food starts with good
farming. We are thrilled that this simple cereal has been judged Highly Commended in the Soil Association Organic Food Awards 2009
- independent verification for a product's taste and quality.
Toasted until golden, with a hint of malt this balanced wheat free
breakfast cereal has the goodness of the whole grain, is low in fat, packed with
energy, and an excellent source of soluble dietary fibre. Seriously healthy,
totally organic.
We grow every barley grain for this simple, yet nutritious breakfast at Lower Pertwood. Like oats, barley contains both soluble and insoluble types of fibre, which may help to lower cholesterol. Plus they fill you up! Many people associate barley with making beer, but in other parts of the world it is a primary grain for food.
Serving suggestion: our Barley Flakes are perfect served with cold milk, or topped with your favourite fruit or yoghurt.
